HFCL, which is a manufacturer of equipment for the telecom industry and provider of new technologies, has launched their first product in their 5G product series. The HFCL 5g wifi 8T8R Macro Radio Unit (RU) will now be used to manufacture global cellular networks with improved energy efficiency and digitally-designed coverage.

5G will accelerate the adoption of Virtualization and cloud native technologies. Most implementations of virtual RAN are proprietary, so HFCL's 5G 8T8R Macro RU uses open standards that can be paired with any vBBU.

HFCL's 5G 8T8R Macro RU is 3GPP Release 15 and 16 compliant. It can be used with the n78 frequency band, which is 3.3 - 3.67 GHZ, and it offers 8T8R MIMO configuration.
