The original Japanese for shabu-shabu is "しゃぶしゃぶ", which refers to using chopsticks to hold the meat and sway the soup back and forth. Generally, the thinly sliced beef is put in a pot with a special soup, and after it is blanched, it is served with sauces such as yuzu vinegar or sesame paste. The history of shabu-shabu
Japanese-style shabu-shabu was developed in 1952 by the president of Suehiro (スエヒロ) in Nagarakcho, Osaka. This food trend has not gone down so far, and it can be said that you can see shabu-shabu specialty shops everywhere.
