If you are a new user of Klarna, you must contact Klarna directly in order to enter into a contract with Klarna and obtain a certificate from Klarna.
Make sure your Firstdatagateway store ID is enabled for Klarna. Once done, you can log into your virtual terminal account, go to the "Customize" section, and visit the "Klarna Settings" link, which will take you to the "Klarna Settings" page.
Follow the steps below to activate Klarna as your in-store payment method via the Klarna Settings page in the customization section of the virtual terminal.
1. Select a country. Use the checkboxes to the left of the Klarna payment method combination table to select the country (or more countries, if applicable) that suits you. Please note that different Klarna payment methods, such as invoices and Klarna payment gateway (flexible or fixed), are available for customers in different countries.
2. Enter credentials. Use this text field to enter the business ID (eid) and shared secret provided to you by Klarna, if necessary, for each country. Note that Klarna's certificates vary by country.
3. Define the invoice delivery method. Use the drop-down list to define the invoice delivery method that works best for you, select.
Email - Once complete, Klarna will automatically email the customer directly with a PDF file of the invoice attached. By default, the email options are set in the drop-down list, but you can always change to print if you want.
After printing, you can print the invoice and add it to the mail so you can send it to your customers. You can access the PDF file by clicking the "Invoice" button from the "Order Details" view. Note, however, that it can only be used within 14 days of the completion date. After that, you can send invoices to your customers via email (as an attachment to the PDF file) by clicking the "Resend Invoice" button in the "Order Details" view.
4. Define additional charges. Invoice fees are only available for the Klarna Invoice payment method and are set to "0.00" by default. If necessary, use the fields in this article to enter new fees for each country as described in your contract with Klarna.
5. Select the payment method. By default, you will see all checkboxes checked. Please check them. If necessary, uncheck boxes not related to your country selection. Note that you can choose from the following payment methods.
Invoice - Pay within 14 days - A simple invoicing solution, customer receives the goods first and then pays within two weeks from the date of purchase, making his shopping safe. Available in: Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Available in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
6. Click the Save Changes button in the Klarna payment method combination table to save the settings.
7. Get the pclasses value. If all settings are saved successfully, you can go to the klarna cost calculation values (pclasses) table, where you will not see any starting values. First, you have to click the refresh value (pclasses) button to get the pclasses value from klarna. After that, specific values appear in the table.
Please note that if you change a setting (eg: select a new country) or Klarna notifies you to update the pclasses value, you should click the "Refresh Values" button again. Specific pclasses values in the table will be updated accordingly.
When all settings are properly saved and pclasses value is successfully obtained, your chosen Klarna payment method will be activated in your Alipay store.
With over 60 million customers and 130,000 businesses across 14 countries using its payment services, the Swedish payment gateway Klarna has grown to become one of Europe's largest banks.
The in-store solution is really simple to use when purchasing something from a participating retailer: In the Klarna app, look up the store and create a digital card to make your purchase. When paying at the register, tap for contactless payment by adding the card to your Google Pay wallet (or Apple Pay for iPhone users).
Klarna streamlines internet buying. While Afterpay is for in-store purchases, it allows you to shop at well-known online retailers. It primarily features the websites of those companies that also provide Afterpay in-store.
