In recent years, with the improvement of my country's awareness of environmental protection issues and the advancement of technology, the development of electric bicycles has become more and more popular among the public. However, many information users can find that compared to our previous lead-acid batteries, the current electric bicycle lead-acid batteries seem to be less durable, and both battery life and lifespan have dropped significantly. Among them, the ban on cadmium is a very important reason. This study will start from this need and analyze the reasons for the decline in durability of electric bicycle lead-acid batteries.

1. Ban on cadmium element

In the past, cadmium was often added to lead-acid batteries to improve their performance. The addition of cadmium can improve the conductivity of the battery and inhibit the self-discharge of the battery, thereby extending the life of the battery and improving the durability of the battery.
